Trek the untouched jungle in search of spider and howler monkeys. Discover ceremonial alters that are still used today. Witness flora & fauna flourishing in their natural habitats. Climb ancient Maya structures that are yet to be uncovered and see a small structure with the roof still intact. Discuss the Maya history specific to the area including the cenote of sacrifice where the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) have uncovered 113 skeletons of all ages, male & female. Continue on until the land opens up into a picturesque lagoon. Finish the afternoon with a canoe through the lagoon, a dip in the fresh water and a delicious meal with the beautiful sunset as the back drop. The sunset over the lagoon creates an opportunity for amazing photos, even for the amateur photographer.
